How to Use Your Mobile Camera As Web Cam - Solved!
So I have been searching for this for a long time. If you are a streamer or want to start streaming and searching for a good camera to buy for streaming, then let me tell you this - your mobile's camera would be a great one for your startup. Now the question is how? As I have to search for this for a long time, is there any way to connect my mobile camera with a computer and then use it as a webcam? But sadly I haven't got any good answers. In most of the forums or blog posts, they were suggesting something which can actually void the warranty of your device. So I was not interested in those methods. Playing with the firmware of my new mobile, well honestly I am not that rich you know. So after a long search, I just got my answer.
The answer is - Droidcam. It's an application. It's absolutely free. A really useful tool. You can search it on google and get it. Though there is a premium version of the software available I guess with more exciting features. I should've shared the software here but I think it's against the blogger guidelines. This tool is one of the best tools which made my work a lot easier. Now, how droid cam works? It's pretty simple.
** Install the Droidcam both on your computer and mobile.
** Now both your camera and mobile must have to be under the same internet connection. You have to turn on your computer's hotspot and connect your mobile with your computer's internet or vice versa.
** Once both of your devices on the same network, start the application on your mobile. You can see it's going to show you Wifi Ip and droid cam port. Now turn on Droidcam on your computer and you can see it's asking for Device IP and Droidcam port. Just copy it from your mobile and paste it on your computer. Then click on start and you are going to see your mobile is started working as webcam.
You can also connect your mobile with USB but the above method is the best one I guess to make it work.
Simply move on to your Streamlabs software, and you can find the Droidcam camera there.
