Make Your PC Faster in 2024

Hello everyone and I am back again with some of the information which maybe help a lot of my friends out there. Today I am going to talk about how to make your PC run faster.

Sometimes all of a sudden your PC can start running a bit slower. It can take a lot of time to start or shutdown, moving files from one drive to another or an external drive can be a lot slower, installing programs can take a lot of time and many other small problem can happen which you will definitely realize and wonder why its acting like that.

When you see the above mentioned problems started happening, these quick small fixes can help you run your PC a bit smoothly. 


Deleting Temp/Prefetch Files :-   Temp files are the type of files which windows creates while you running a program. These temp files can take a lot of space in your PC and can slow your PC down. Prefetch files also the same as Temp files, windows create these files to store information. You can free up a little bit of space and make your PC run a bit smooth by deleting these files. Simple way to deal with these files - 

* Press "Windows + R" Key together in your keyboard and Open Run command. You can also search and open the run command from windows 11 search bar.

* After opening it, type -  %temp% or prefetch and hit enter.

* You are going to see a bunch of files there. Select them all with Ctrl+A then press Shift+Del button and hit delete button to remove them all. Some might not get deleted so you skip them all as there maybe some program still running and you wont be able to delete all the files.

There is also a temp folder available in windows. To delete the files from that folder, simply type - temp and hit enter in the run command. This time don't put the % symbol in it.



Stop The Unnecessary Programs That Starts With Windows:- You may have a lot of programs installed in your PC and when you are turning your PC on, a lot of them going to try to start at the same time, making your PC turn on slower, and also sometimes can freeze it for a long time. So you have to remove this program from the start up. Simple step to stop running the unnecessary apps from start up - 

* Press Ctrl+Alt+Del button and open task manager from there. You can also search for Task Manager from windows search.

* Now from the left side menu, find the start up apps icon and click on it. You are going to see a lot of apps available there. Now you can right click on the unnecessary ones and disable them. Just do not disable the Microsoft ones and also not the audio driver or the network apps. If you are a gamer and you have Epic games app or steam client or Xbox services enabled, you can disable them from the startup. By doing this, your PC wont take much time to start.

If you are using a different antivirus software, then there are chances your pc is going to run slow. Antivirus software's keeps running and scanning the files frequently and takes a lot of amount of your ram memory which can make your PC run slow. Just use your PC smartly so that you don't need a different antivirus software, as for me, windows defender works pretty well.



Be Careful When You Surfing on Internet :- Downloading something from some untrusted source or visiting some unnecessary websites, if not careful, you might end up installing some unwanted software and ending up with some spyware or malware can create a lot of trouble and you might end up making your PC slower than ever. Before you download something from any website you are not sure of whether its a good source or not, just research a little more on Google and see if its a good and trusted website.



Keep You Drivers and Windows Updated :-  Always update your old drivers as well as always update your windows too. Old drivers can cause some unexplainable troubles which can make your PC do some weird stuff.

What I mentioned above are some of the basic stuff to take care of your PC. Ignore this basic ones and you can end up in some big problems too. If a PC starts working slowly, it can happen for a lot of reason, it can be a hardware problem too. Failed to Open Descriptor File Uproject Problem - Solved !! Part 2

 Hello Everyone, Hope you all are doing good. Now I am going to tell you how to solve the Failed to open descriptor file problem again. Previously I already wrote a post about this, it can help you fix the problem for your game, try it first, you can read it here .  Now, I have came up with this problem again. And this time it was a little different and my previous solution is unable to solve this problem. I was trying to play Rogue Company a few days ago. Failed to Open Descriptor File Problem - Fortnite | Solved !!

Okay, so are you getting this error message all of a sudden or after installing Fortnite or after updating the game? It can be frustrating when this "failed to open descriptor file" problem keeps coming when you try to run the game and can't find the solution. So what does this failed to open descriptor file means? It means that some of your game files are corrupted or missing. Somehow a sudden crash or a new update can cause this problem. So how do you solve it?
