Call of Duty Warzone Performance on RX 550
Hello Everyone, I am writing this post a little bit late though. But still I guess many of you can find it helpful. Call of Duty Modern Warfare battle royale graphics is pretty huge. RX 550 is not even pass the minimum requirements to run the game. So let's see how the game actually worked on RX 550.
Before everything, I think it is best to see the requirements of the Call of Duty Warzone -
Minimum Specifications
Here are the minimum specs needed to play Call of Duty: Warzone:
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
RAM: 8GB RAM
HDD: 175GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 / GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon HD 7950
DirectX: Requires DirectX 12 compatible system
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Recommended Specifications
Here are recommended Specs to run at 60FPS in most situations with all options set to medium:
OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest Service Pack)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X processor
RAM: 12GB RAM
HDD: 175GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1660 or Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580
DirectX: Requires DirectX 12 compatible system
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
There are also other specification available , you can see it here in the Activision support website.
Now, RX 550 is not good even for minimum. Also they are saying 8 gb ram, with windows 10, which is very doubtful. Although if you have GTX 670 or GTX 1650 with 8gb RAM, then may be you can able to run the game. Now let's see my PC specs -
PC Specs :-
GPU :- Sapphire Pulse RX 550 4gb GDDR5
Processor :- AMD RYZEN 5 1500x
Motherboard :- Gigabyte AB-350 Gaming
SSD :- Samsung Evo 250gb
RAM :- Corsair Vengeance 16gb DDR4
So most of my specs pass the minimum requirements except the main one, RX 550. There are already a lots of videos I uploaded, lets check it -
This video is in 1080p with all the settings available in the game. Though I was able to run the game in low settings but the way it is running, experience is terrible. If this is a single player game, then may be we all would have completed it like this. But sadly it is a competitive game, so the performance, just check the video and you decide if it works for you or not.
Let's move on to the next video.
This time I ran this game on 900p in low settings, just to see if the performance improve. It did improve, the fps you are going to see is kind of same like the 1080p one , but when you are going to play it, you can feel it that the performance is actually improved a little. But still it is not good enough.
I have also ran this game in 720p low settings and also the lowest resolution available in the game 800 x 600. Here I am going to share the 800 x 600 one, this is the only resolution where the game run actually a bit more smoothly. Well the game was playable but also at the same time it is kind of unplayable. Because I have 1080p screen, so 800 x 600 stretched resolution with all the settings set to its lowest made the game look so blurry and it was actually hurting my eyes. The game ran pretty well than other resolutions I have tried but for me, it is not playable. Check the video and see it by yourself if this is going to work for you -
