RX 550 Benchmark in 2021 - Assassins Creed Valhalla - Can You Run It?

Hello and welcome to my blog. So if you are searching for a low end GPU, or say a budget GPU, then pretty sure many of you going to end up with RX 550. I am with this GPU for three years and the GPU is doing really good for now. But more days are passing, the games are looking really good and heavy. For a low end GPU like RX 550, the question is can it survive?

Well yeah, there are lots of decent games in this recent times and with the support of a good processor, RX 550 can do really well. I mean it can definitely run the game. Now there are always going to be exception, as my setup completely failed to run Cyberpunk 2077 properly. Though that game is trash ( my opinion). And there are also several games where I don't get enough FPS to have a good experience with that particular game. But the question is, how its going to be with - Assassins Creed Valhalla? Is it going to able to run the game?

Assassins Creed Valhalla is the brand new game of AC series. The trailer looked absolutely beautiful when it got released. In case you are interested watching some trailer reaction, here is one -

With that trailer, it was clear the game is going to be heavy, I mean the graphics specially. And for low end PCs, its going to be pain to run this one for sure. And it's true. I ran this game in my PC and it wasn't a good experience at all.

My PC Specs :-

Sapphire Pulse RX 550 4GB GDDR5

AMD Ryzen 5 1500x

Samsung Evo 250GB SSD

Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4

The game is running, but it's not running that smooth. Somehow its running in low settings with less than 30 FPS. FPS dropping in some places but the point is, this is a story game. If you just want to complete the story, just want to complete the game any how, then you can play this game with lowest settings and low resolution. Avg 25 - 30 FPS won't going to be a problem as you can defeat the game and also win the fights if you are playing the easiest mode. Though I haven't played the full game, I don't like it as I can not enjoy the amazing graphics work of that game properly. Tested the game in basic three resolutions, 1080p, 900p, and 720p and of course the 720p is much smooth. Though the FPS hasn't changed much after changing the resolution. But you can feel the gameplay kind of become smooth when playing in 720p. Also, lower down the resolution scale just to increase the performance. Here is the video of Assassins Creed Valhalla RX 550 Benchmark -

Lets come to the conclusion - RX 550 can not run this game properly. If you pair this GPU with a high end processor, then sure you can run the game properly in low settings, 1080p. But if you are depending only on the GPU, then it can not handle it.
